Dyngarwr oedd Rose Mary Crawshay (18282 Mehefin 1907). Ganwyd Rose Mary Yeates yn Berkshire, Lloegr.[1] Priododd Robert Thompson Crawshay yn 1846, sef haearnfeistr olaf Merthyr Tydfil, a daeth yn feistres i Gastell Cyfarthfa.

Hi sefydlodd Gronfa Wobr er cof am Byron, Shelley, Keats yn 1888, a ddatganwyd gan yr Academi Brydeinig fel yr unig wobr lenyddol ym Mhrydain ar gyfer ysgolheigion benywaidd.[2] Fel dyngarwr, talodd am ran o Ysgol Uwchradd y Faenor a Phenderyn yn oddeutu 1861.
