John Cowper Powys

Nofelydd ac athronydd oedd John Cowper Powys (8 Hydref 1872 - 17 Mehefin 1963). Clerigwr oedd ei dad a darddai o ardal Powys; roedd ganddo ddau frawd: Llewelyn a Theodore, ill dau hefyd yn sgwennwyr. Roedd eu mam yn perthyn i'r bardd Saesneg William Cowper, ble cafodd John ei enw canol.
