Yn anatomeg dynol, diffinir yr arddwrn fel 1) y carpws neu'r esgyrn carpalaidd, y cymhlyg o wyth asgwrn sy'n ffurfio'r segment procsimol esgyrnol yn y llaw;[1][2] (2) cymal yr arddwrn neu'r cymal radio-carpol, y cymal rhwng y radiws a'r carpws;[2] a'r (3) ardal anatomegol sy'n amgylchynnu'r carpws gan gynnwys y rhannau distal asgwrn yr elin a rhannau procsimol y metacarpws neu'r pump asgwrn metacarpal a'r cyfres o gymalau rhwng yr esgyrn hyn, a gyfeirir atynt fel 'cymalau'r arddwrn.[3][4] Mae'r ardal hon hefyd yn cynnwys y twnel carpal, y blwch snisin anatomegol, plygydd retinacwlwm, a'r estynnydd retinacwlwm.

Mae'r erthygl hon yn cynnwys term neu dermau sydd efallai wedi eu bathu'n newydd sbon: blwch snisin anatomegol o'r Saesneg "anatomical snuff box". Gallwch helpu trwy safoni'r termau.

The carpus articulates proximally with the forearm at the wrist joint and distally with the five metacarpals. The joints formed by the carpus include the wrist (radiocarpal joint), intercarpal, carpometacarpal and intermetacarpal joints.
