Weithiau, mae cyfraniadau i Wicipedia yn cynnwys testun neu luniau a gopiwyd o wefannau allanol. • Os ydy'n bosibl, trefnwch am gyhoeddiad mynegiad hawlfraint ar y wefan allanol a gopiwyd, sy'n dweud bod testun y wefan hyn ar gael i'w ddefnyddio dan dermau'r GFDL neu drwydded gydweddol (e.e. parth cyhoeddus), ac wedyn darparwch ddolen i'r mynegiad hwn ar dudalen sgwrs yr erthygl.

• Os nad ydy'r cam uchod yn bosibl, nodwch hyn. Wedyn, yn ei le, gall cyfrannwr cyson i'r prosiect anfon ebost i'r prif gyfeiriad gysyllt a restrir ar y wefan allanol, er mwyn gofyn i'r perchennog i ategu bod caniatâd yn bodoli i gopio'r cynnwys. Ar ôl i'r ategiad gyrraedd, bydd y cyfrannwr cyson yn ei nodi ar dudalen sgwrs yr erthygl, ac felly cymera fe/hi gyfrifoldeb am y mynegiad y rhoddwyd caniatâd.

Os ni chyflawnir un na'r llall o'r dau gam uchod mewn cyfnod rhesymol, gall bod rhaid i ni ddileu'r cynnwys.

Draft policy regarding text copied from external websites

Sometimes contributions to Wicipedia contain text or pictures copied from external websites. To avoid legal difficulties for the project, we need to ensure in these situations that the owner of the external website has in fact given permission for the text to be used under the terms of the GFDL (the licence used on Wicipedia).

If you have been pointed to this policy because of content that you have added, please do not feel offended. We value your contributions, but ask you to take a few minutes to do one of the following so that we can retain your contributions with confidence.

• If possible, please arrange for a copyright statement to appear on the external website which has been copied, stating that the text may be used under the terms of the GFDL or a compatible licence (e.g. public domain), and provide a link to that statement on the article's talk page.

• If you are not able to do this, then please say so. Then instead of the above, a regular contributor to the project may send an email to the main contact address listed on the external website, in order to ask the owner to confirm that permission exists to copy the content. Once a reply is received, the regular contributor will note it on the article's talk page, and by doing so will take responsibility for the assertion that permission has been given.

If neither of the above are done within a reasonable period, the content may have to be removed.
