Count Estruc (actually Estruch) was a vampire in an old spanish legend based on real happenings. He lived in Llers (on the French border with Spain) sometime around the 1170's. Don Guifred Estruch was an old knight, he left his home to battle the pagan demons and is reported as killed. The count later returns as a vampire. He terrorises the small catalonian village for many years but is eventually killed by an old nun.
