English: Start of the scree climb There are few outdoor pleasures to match negotiating a rough bouldery scree slope. For me, a day in the hills is not complete without one, and thanks to periglaciation processes one is never far from such a scree in Snowdonia. The scree here is generally stable, and good progress can be made in a short time, except when verglas is present. |
