The photographer most likely was Harry Halstead McPheeters (1892-1960) who is missing from the photograph and was a professional photographer along with his father. Also missing from the photograph was Arthur Oscar Freudenberg I (1891-1968) who had abandoned his family in 1928. In 2019 it was confirmed that Charles Henry Pilkington died in 1916 and he was misidentified in the family photo. The correct identity of the person in the photo has not been determined. The image as a whole has a Jack Torrance quality to it.
