Interfase, even if what you claim is true we do not accept references which are:

1. given in Engish text
2. use pictures and youtube videos as sources
3. refer to pdf files in a language which nobody here is likely to understand (regrettably).

I see you have been busy changing this on a number of wikipedias. French Wikipedia seems to have accepted this, for instance, but most of the others have not had time to react to your edit(s) yet. I'm not an expert on the subject so we need to see how the larger wikipedias react. I've left the flag image you placed for now but it will need verifying and other editors may not be happy with the change. If the large wikipedias accept this then so will we, probably. In the meantime we need a reliable online source in one of the major western European languages. Anatiomaros 14:56, 24 Awst 2010 (UTC)

I do it, cause I cannot see false information about flag of my country. Now about sourses.

1. I don't use youtube as a sourse. You can go to the National Museum of the History of Azerbaijan, and see flag maked by Mammad Amin Rasulzadeh and Gulmammad Bagirov in this museum yourself (exponate №178). thanks youtube you can see this flag without journey to Azerbaijan.
2. You can see flag on the historical photographs:

1. And author of the pdf article in russian is a specialist in history, and he show a flag with the moon on red copor.

Well, as you see flag of Azerbaijan in 1918-1920 was the same with the flag of Azerbaijan since 1991. In russian wikipedia (where I spent much time) everybody agree with me. --Interfase 15:53, 24 Awst 2010 (UTC)

Interfase, for now I've reverted the image to the previous version and have provided a link to the FOTW website as a source (which itself lists sources from reputable vexillological works). I agree with you that the flag in those photographs is clearly the "modern" design, with the crescent and star in the centre rather than the hoist, but using that to deduce that the written sources are incorrect would simply be conjecture and a violation of Wicipedia's reliable sources policy. Regarding your use of the FOTW website as a source for your claim (your edit), FOTW states that Znamierowski "shows as the first national flag of Azerbaijan a 2:3 flag, with the crescent and star shifted to the hoist instead of centered" (italics added). Albeit the crescent and star do not overlap with the three coloured bands in Znamierowski's version, but it is still clearly not the same as the version used since 1991. —Adam (sgwrs • cyfraniadau) 22:04, 25 Awst 2010 (UTC)

No, it was the same flag. You can see this flag on historical photos and the flag made by Rasulzadeh in Museum of the History of Azerbaijan. But now this wikipedia projekt gives to readers false information. And why did you remove photos with the same flags on them from article?
