Dw i ddim yn meddwl fod y teitl o Gymru yn gywir. mae rhaid i'r tywysog gael ei arwisgo cyn y gall fod yn dywysog Cymru ac mae'n amheus a nwir hynny byth eto. Dyfrig 21:09, 26 Mai 2006 (UTC)[ateb]

Harry and William both get the "of Wales" suffix because their father is Prince of Wales, not King (or they would be princes of the United Kingdom). If Harry's father was, for example, the Duke of Gloucester, he would be "Prince Harry of Gloucester". See English wikipedia for a full discussion. Deb 22:13, 26 Mai 2006 (UTC)[ateb]

This is what is on the English wikipedia for prince of Wales: can't see that can be reconciled with what is said above. Note the title is not automatic. It appears it would be impossible for one to have two 'Prince of Wales'.
Since 1301, the Prince of Wales has been the eldest living son of the King or Queen Regnant of England (subsequently of Great Britain, 1707, and of United Kingdom, 1801). The word "living" is important. Upon the death of Prince Arthur, the Prince of Wales, Henry VII invested his second son, the future Henry VIII, with the title. The title is not automatic, however, but merges into the Crown when a prince dies or accedes to the throne, and has to be re-created by the sovereign. Dyfrig 22:52, 26 Mai 2006 (UTC)[ateb]
Harry isn't Prince of Wales, or the article would be titled Harri, Tywysog Cymru. He takes the of Wales part because he does not hold an earldom, dukedom, etc. himself and because his father's title ends of Wales. See also Princess Beatrice, daughter of the Duke of York. Ni di'r UNIG wefan sy'n cyfeirio ato fel "Tywysog Harri o Gymru", yn ôl Google. Mae sawl wikipedia yn defnyddio "Henry Mountbatten-Windsor". Beth am hynny neu "Harri Mountbatten-Windsor"? (gw. hefyd Sgwrs:Tywysog Gwilym o Gymru). Anatiomaros 19:34, 2 Tachwedd 2007 (UTC)[ateb]
