Thank you for the information. So far, the stub article does not refer to A Robbe-Grillet's ethnicity. It says that he wrote in the French language - if he wrote in Breton too please add that info with sources. Do you know whether he was a Breton speaker or of Breton parentage? Well, I don't know if Alain Robbe-Grillet considered himself as Breton, French (or none of them). All I know is that he talked about his breton childhood in one of his novel : Le Miroir. At the same time he was elected in the French Academy, 4 years before his death.
