I believe that afterwards he spoke of meto his friends as being on the best of terms withall the leading London actors. The three years passed at the university, whetherOxford or Cambridge, will, I should say, be alwaysreckoned as among the happiest, if not quite thehappiest, in any mans life. There is just so muchconstraint as gives to the youthful undergraduatean increased zest for the sweets of liberty. Thenthe reading parties during the long !
