Disgrifiad

A monument most of us cannot recall seeing on Leinster Lawn???

A Story of now you see it now you don't. Please see the comments below about this Monument, it was short lived, it was poorly built, some might say that it did not pay the correct homage to the two men it was supposed to commemorate.

An Interesting example of early Free State thinking.

This image was taken from Flickr's The Commons. The uploading organization may have various reasons for determining that no known copyright restrictions exist, such as:
  1. The copyright is in the public domain because it has expired;
  2. The copyright was injected into the public domain for other reasons, such as failure to adhere to required formalities or conditions;
  3. The institution owns the copyright but is not interested in exercising control; or
  4. The institution has legal rights sufficient to authorize others to use the work without restrictions.

Public domain

This work is in the public domain in its country of origin and other countries and areas where the copyright term is the author's life plus 70 years or fewer.

You must also include a United States public domain tag to indicate why this work is in the public domain in the United States. Note that a few countries have copyright terms longer than 70 years: Mexico has 100 years, Jamaica has 95 years, Colombia has 80 years, and Guatemala and Samoa have 75 years. This image may not be in the public domain in these countries, which moreover do not implement the rule of the shorter term. Honduras has a general copyright term of 75 years, but it does implement the rule of the shorter term. Copyright may extend on works created by French who died for France in World War II (more information), Russians who served in the Eastern Front of World War II (known as the Great Patriotic War in Russia) and posthumously rehabilitated victims of Soviet repressions (more information).

This image was originally posted to Flickr by National Library of Ireland on The Commons at https://www.flickr.com/photos/47290943@N03/16307907087. It was reviewed on 2015-02-15 03:47:17 by FlickreviewR, who found it to be licensed under the terms of the No known copyright restrictions, which is compatible with the Commons. It is, however, not the same license as given above, and it is unknown whether that license ever was valid.
