The mission was led by Shibata Sadataro (sitting) and the other members in the photo standing from left to right are: Mori Hachitaro, Hidaka Keizaburo, Ueda Yusuke, Ota Genzaburo, Fukuchi Genichiro, Kawasaki Domin, and Tachi Kosaku. Nadar, whose real name was Gaspard-Felix Tournachon, became a very well-known photographer. Mounted on Nadar's studio card with the 'N' printed in red and the embossed 'N' at lower right. Studio address on rear. Photographed at 35, Boulevart des Capuchines [Paris]. Nadar. 1862.
