Delwedd Derrick Morris

Hwyl! Derrick Morris is up for deletion on the English wikipedia. The image of him in that article can't be transferred to Commons because it's non-free, even though it's fair use, and I'm not sure how we would transfer it to Welsh wikipedia (as we will presumably want to keep it for the Welsh article). This one is unusual, though, as it's the Username which is racist, not the edits. Maybe it would be better to hide / or delete the Username from view? Pages tagged for delete by Praxidicae

Yesterday, Praxidicae tagged some of the pages I wrote for deletion, but they are not actually vandalism. And yes, I am the same user you've blocked many times before (Bambifan101/The Disney Vandal), but I made sure not to use Google to translate the pages, or write in English. Also, Beavis and Butt-Head Do America has existed since 2008, and was not actually created by me (but I expanded it). I used help from The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie to write the content. And I saw you did a copyedit to Finding Dory, but perhaps the same kind of edit should be made to Finding Nemo as well. Finding Dory is the sequel to Finding Nemo, which I think there should be a mention of that on the page for the first film that the sequel came out in 2016. Finally, I have to say I'm sorry for all the past vandalism I made. I was so immature, but I'm 24 now, I see why Google translate doesn't work and why writing in English isn't helpful. I would still like to restore edits made in 2017 to The Fox and the Hound 2, but without the red links. Also the same for the first film. Also, I'm not sure if the titles in other languages section is allowed. Is it? It's also on Liv and Maddie, Charlotte's Web (ffilm 1973), and Charlotte's Web 2: Wilbur's Great Adventure. If it is allowed, then I would like to restore it on The Fox and the Hound articles. Again, I'm sorry for all the immature vandalism in the past. However, I am trying my best to actually learn proper Welsh so I can improve these articles. The Fox and the Hound has been my favorite film for over 10 years now (since 2008), but I realized that the vandalism wasn't getting anything done well. In addition to the articles I created, Praxidicae also tagged two more pages (Kyle Massey and World's Greatest Dad) for deletion as well. They weren't created by me, but by a similar non-Welsh user. I did my best to improve them, but they are still short. If you ever decide to unprotect the pages I used to vandalize, I promise not to do blatant vandalism on them anymore. It's not that I'm fluent in those languages, but I am trying to learn them. I use help from other articles and request help from other users. Vuzorg was the user to translate the article on Lady and the Tramp from Turkish to Zazaki, and I used that to make pages about Oliver & Company, Bambi, The Rescuers, and a few others. He was also the creator of The Fox and the Hound 2 in Zazaki Wikipedia, which I requested. I used that to create the articles on sequels like Lady and the Tramp II: Scamp's Adventure, Bambi II, and the Ice Age sequels. I am a big fan of these movies, that's why I want them to be known. Finally, I still don't know how to get unbanned. I've heard there's a way, but I need to know how to do it. What's the next step? I'll stop editing if I can get unbanned. Also, the English Wikipedia still has my IP range blocked until August 18, Simple English has it blocked until October 20, and Lithuanian has it blocked until February 4, 2024. If I can get unbanned, maybe some of the Wikipedias where they protected pages can unprotect them, and languages like Lithuanian can restore good edits I made. But also, is it a bad thing that I get good faith users to help me? At least, would it still be bad if I wasn't banned? This isn't an if, it's not a local situation, it's global. You either stop editing and then request to be unlocked and unblocked individually where you've been blocked or you wind up with a much longer global block on your ip range and no chance of getting out of it. Ok so that was quite involved but I've just updated all the CS1 modules from enwiki, which I first tried in 2017 but gave up! This keeps the localised phrases in Modiwl:Citation/CS1/Configuration (which could be further translated). The Welsh months are now present as a 'local' array here as well which means that using Welsh or English month names will now be validated correctly in accessdate/dyddiadcyrchu. Mae yna broblem dechnegol yma. Yn yr enghraifft honno (Brampton, Eden) mae'r hierarchaeth yn iawn: Brampton (pentref) < Long Marton (plwyf sifil) < Ardal Eden (ardal an-fetropolitan) < Cumbria (sir an-fetropolitan) < Gogledd-orllewin Lloegr (rhanbarth). At times, our contributor communities and projects have suffered from a lack of guidelines that can help us together create an environment where free knowledge can be shared safely without fear.

There has been talk about the need for a global set of conduct rules in different communities over time. Recently, Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees announced a Community Culture Statement, asking for new standards to address harassment and promote inclusivity across projects. [1]

The universal code of conduct will be a binding minimum set of standards across all Wikimedia projects, and will apply to all of us, staff and volunteers alike, all around the globe.. It is of great importance that we all participate in expressing our opinions and thoughts about UCoC and its values. We should think about what we want it to cover or include and what it shouldn’t include, and how it may create difficulties or help our groups.

This is the time to talk about it. Before starting drafting the code of conduct, we would like to hear from you and to solicit the opinions and feedback of your colleagues.

In order for your voice to be heard, we encourage and invite you to read more about the universal code of conduct (UCoC) [2] and then write down your opinions or feedback on the discussion page [3]. To reduce language barriers during the process, you are welcomed to translate the universal code of conduct english main page into your respective local language [4]. You and your community may choose to provide your opinions/feedback using your local languages.

Macro to add names of birds from other Celtic languages

Hi Llywelyn2000, thanks for the macro to add names of birds from other Celtic languages... and interesting to see. However I see three problems. 1/ In the case of the Irish "spideog", the Welsh name was also "spideog" instead of Robin Goch. I don't know why. 2/ When I edit the file for any reason, it seems, and close it, extra paragraph marks jump in and I am not good with editing tables 3/ It would be good if possible to have the title of the section in some text other than plain text (though not so important)/ The first point is key ... the translations have to be reliable

Wikidata lists

I have been looking at using Wikidata SPARQL queries on Wikipedia Kernewek. I have a few at my user page at kw:Devnydhyer:DavydhT/Kyst_Tewes which aren't really working properly at the moment.

I'm not sure why ListeriaBot isn't producing lists of the planets and dwarf planets. The query does what I intend it to at the Wikidata Query Service Query listing the official dwarf planets and Query listing possible dwarf planets that are not IAU officially confirmed. However these aren't coming through properly as a wikipedia table.

The constellations draft page kw:Devnydhyer:DavydhT/Kyst_Tewes/Ranneves mostly does OK, but I get this errant subheader zzzother appear. Ideally I'd also like to remove the prefix from the Latin abbreviations. Hope you can help. Would updating the kw:Skantlyn:Wikidata_list template at Wikipedia Kernewek to the latest version of en:Template:Wikidata_list on English Wikipedia help or might I break something by doing that? Only one list per page is permitted. I've kept the first one, and it works. You could create a new page for a second list, should you wish.

And yes! The template needs updating! Just done that; nothing broken!

I did start working on the bird articles on kw-wiki, but concentrated on ga-wiki when their editors wanted help with embedding Wikidata (similar project!) into Wikipedia. I'll try and make time to work with you if you like: I've added all the Cornish bird names as found on Avionary onto Wikidata, so we could generate quite a few new articles on birds automatically, should yo wish.

Wonderful to see that you've created a couple of new WD lists too!
