Penrhyn Llŷn
Gweler hefyd Llŷn (gwahaniaethu) a Penrhyn (gwahaniaethu).

Mae Penrhyn Llŷn yn ymestyn fel braich allan i'r môr tua gogledd Bae Ceredigion. Mae'n rhan o Wynedd yng ngogledd orllewin Cymru. Yr Eifl yw'r copa uchaf a'r prif drefi yw Aberdaron, Abersoch, Cricieth, Nefyn a Phwllheli. Creadigaeth bur diweddar yw'r term ei hun.

Mae'r penrhyn yn cael ei adnabod fel Ardal o Harddwch Naturiol Eithriadol. Ceir nifer o draethau braf, yn arbennig ar yr arfordir deheuol, baeau creigiog ar hyd arfordir y gogledd, a bryniau gosgeiddig fel Yr Eifl a Carn Fadryn.

Er gwaethaf mewnlifiad o siaradwyr Saesneg i leoedd fel Abersoch, erys Llŷn yn un o gadarnleoedd pwysicaf yr iaith Gymraeg.

Geirdarddiad[golygu]

Daw'r enw Llŷn o Laigin, brenhinllin Leinster/Laighin a sefydlodd gwladfa Wyddelig yng Ngogledd Cymru yn ystod Oes Gristnogol Gynnar Iwerddon (tua 400–800).[1]
